How can I disable EGR from my Audi? I have to check that is there any changes in engine when its taken off.

My engine is shaking a little when RPM is around 1400~1700. Flywheel is fixed already.

Has anyone done steel plate to disable EGR?

Is it true that the 103 kW engine is absolutely same as 125 kW 2.0TDI. Only difference is Engine program? Can I change that program somehow?

you are best sorting the fault out rather than bypassing it ,the engine light will be on permanantly with egr low flow ,its there for a reason ....

Diagnostic tools cannot disable the EGR. I have heard some chip tuners will do this by modifying the engine control program found in the ECU. I'd suggest you contact some chip tuners to see what they can offer you.

By the way, as VAGMAN suggested, these systems are there to protect the environment and if you remove it, and if your region requires emissions inspection, you will not pass the inspection. Some readiness monitors will most likely have to be "toyed" with to defeat their error checking.

fit a reduced diameter gasket to allow reduced egr flow as if you blank it completely the mil will come on with a fault similar to poor or insufficient through put generated from airmass volume readings returned to the ecu

Egr has nothing to do with emission regulations as it reduces(NOx) and this is not tested for the mot and will therefore not fail

There are numerous engine updates depending on the ecu sw version for controlling egr flow when the idle becomes unstable or hesitation occurs below 2,200rpm.
The main issues with the 2.0 pd egr are excess soot build up or failing welded spot on the egr flap.

If there is no mechanical defect with the egr post your ecu part number with software version

Readiness code is not enforced in the uk market as yet for obd emission tests nor is it important as its just a self check of current emission regulated inputs to the ecu for optimum control.

As readiness is a constant variable reading its rarely shows 0 anyway and the mil light is used to determine a fault code which requires attention unlike sporadic codes

Every time a fault code is erased in address 1 the readiness loses its current setting and simply driving the vehicle will eventually reset when the criterion for each settings are fulfilled, but its no big deal and used more in other countries with stricter emission regulation
vag diagnostics, retrofits and general repairs

Maybe it is not tested or evaluated in the UK but it certainly is an emissions issue elsewhere in this world.

Well said. Readiness is used in many other countries. In the US, my reference point, most states now use readiness to determine if a car is in emissions specifications rather than using a tail pipe sniffer. NOx is a criteria that is to be reduced. I don't know when the UK will follow suit, but rest assured, the UK will accept readiness in the near future for emissions standards. The whole industry has moved in that direction and it is only a matter of time before the UK follows suit.

I remain in the camp that emissions systems should be fixed and not bypassed.

Yes, It would be better to fix this problem but I was just trying to solve few things in this car. It's not working properly when R.P.M is about 1500-2000.

And these emission rules are going strict in Finland too....... Baaaad thing.... My opinion.
I own Old Chrysler and driving with this is going harder.

New Emission rules in EU are making new truck owners maaaad...always problems with these EGR's, Ad-Blue systems... And what about that Catepillar emission system, almoust like EGR but burning exhaust gases with flame, over 1000 Celsius. And there is problems.
