Hopefully someone can help with with this

Just bought the following for my Concert stereo
    Connects 2 CTAADUSB003 - Audi A2, A3, A4, A6, A8, TT USB Interface Kit for Audi

I received the item today but I cant seem to figure out how to connect it, the instructions diagram don't relate to the back of my stereo at all.

This is an image of the back of my stereo,
the bottom connector on the right is power
one up form that I am not sure
the one up form that seems to be the steering wheel controls
    far left is the radio
middle green might be AM radio (bit of a guess)

This shows the connectors on the end of the connect2,
the only place it will connect is the top right which is the steering wheel controls.

This is another cable which seems to be an extension cable for the steering wheels controls but I have no idea what this would be used for.

    Thanks
    Nick

    Hi Rob,

Yes my head unit looked just the same as yours, and yes the supplied instructions with the connects II unit don't reflect your kit.

Here's what you do IIRC .. (takes longer to describe than to actually do)

Remove the original blue/yellow/green connector from the head unit and separate the blue section by releasing the clip.
Take the supplied adapter harness (the extension cable you refer to and your picture 3) but unclip the blue connector from the yellow/green section and replace it with the blue connector from the USB interface (shown in your picture 2) . Plug the new blue/yellow/green connector you've just created in to the head unit and the cars original yellow/green connector into the adapter harness (extension lead red connector). Plug the original blue connector in to the USB interface harness (the black one in picture 1).

Connect the earth lead to a suitable vehicle chassis point e.g. the radio metalwork. MUST DO THIS.
I had an additional black and a white lead – I left these disconnected but wound them in insulation tape first to prevent shorts.
Replace all the other head unit connectors (speaker, power etc) back in their original places
Test the unit and refit everything.

    Hope this helps

You've probably already figured it out by now...press the CD button on the head unit twice (once selects the single CD, the second press selects the CD autochanger which the usb unit is emulating).
Remember you'll need to create 6 folders on the USB stick: CD01, CD02 etc and put your music in there. If you find a way of using further sub folders, please let me know, as it didn't work for me.

I can't comment on the A3 but on my A4 the glove box drops out dead easy, just 5 screws - you can then work on it on the bench. I'm sure if you search this forum and the web you'll find out how the A3 glovebox is screwed in.
