Hi Guys, need some help my passat isn't picking like it did yesterday. This morning I started it and heard a funny mechanical sound. While driving home from work I noticed the car wasn't flinging me down the road like it normally does. It's just hit 70k and last service was from VW. I was thinking it's maybe turbo pipe has anyone had these prob's themselves?

Sounds like loss of turbo pressure but you need a fault code read to point you in the right direction.

Went garage to have it checked and it started working fine??? back home it's playing up again??? While driving it everything was fine again for 1 day the next day I was getting the problem again with no turbo kick. I haven't had it on the diagnostic yet hopefully will this week. I was wondering if anyone with a tfsi has had this problem. Thanks

Check any pipes that run along the bulkhead, and go to the airbox.

Hi, I've had the car on the diagnostic machine. It points to a lean burn which mechanic thinks could be Mass Air Flow sensor??? do you think its this or EGR valve???
    Thanks

The fault code is P2177 and VW have gave me car back saying they can't fix. So far I have spent approx £750 with vw, they have changed MAF, Lambda sensor and they have resetted the throttle body, this was all referred back to their tech department. I had enough and bought the car back, they wanted more money!!! if VW can't sort this out then it goes to show how crap they are. I've got a lsit of numbers which I think is the fault print out but not sure which ones I should put on this page. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
