For the first time, I'm about to fit Eibach -30mm lowering springs to a 2000, A4(B5), 2.4 saloon and need some input.

I recently fitted Eibach -25mm to a Skoda Fabia vRS and I had to reduce the size of both front and back bump stops. What I'm wondering is, will I need to do likewise with the B5? Or, is the B5 set up quite different from the Skoda and bump stop shortening isn't an issue?

You can fit the "sport suspension" bump stops as they are shorter. Either that or cut down your existing ones depending on how usable they are.

    Thank you.
What's involved in cutting down the existing ones?
(A Stanley knife was all that was required to remove a piece off of the bump stops on the Fabia.)

    Thanks for the assistance.

    One more point:

I've been in touch with Audi here in Glasgow and now know that the rear bump stop for the "sport" is 119mm long as opposed to 134mm for the "standard".
That's straight forward. However, they are not able to tell me the length difference for the front bump stop because, apparently, this dimension isn't given on the parts list and they don't have these in stock so can't do a physical check. Do you think it would be reasonable to assume the difference at the front would be the same as the rear?
