I have 19x9 bentley alloys and I'm trying to find the best tyre to put on them. I currently have 235/35/19 kuhmo tyres but want somethin with better rim protection. I can't go with a wider tyre as I'll start to rub! I tried a set of federals on today and they were even worse!

The best I've seen is bridgestone as most BMWs now have them as standard and they have plenty of protection. But they are very pricey! The best I've seen within my price range is Accelera tyres at about £110 a tyre or £140 for toyos.

    Any suggestions?!

The Bridgestone Potenza RE050As have really good rim protection. They're rock hard though, they'll make the ride firmer.

I'm currently using Dunlop Sportmaxxs which have better rim protection than the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s I've used in the past. Rim protection isn't too far behind the Bridgestones. They're softer though, and improve ride comfort.

The Bridgestones and the Michelins are the best for durability in my experience, with the Dunlops a little behind. But I prefer the Dunlops, because of the improvement in ride comfort.
