Hi All, I am new to Audi A4 and have a A4 B7 DTM, 29k, First little brothers car, he decided to sell her, so took her in and will bring it up as my own ...lol

Hope to be a regular here, any tips and tricks?

I already have issues with flickering Xenon lights, and then failing showing 'Dipped Beam' warning intermittently/randomly on both headlights, dealers telling me that it will need both control units (ballasts?) (£333 each!) this is without checking them.

How does one test the control units?
Once the bulbs fails and the dash warning light comes on, I turn off ignition and start her up again, all is ok,

Will take some better pictures as soon as the weather gets better

    Cheers

Thank you, I have to say I am very conscious of everyone looking/staring, I think the colour definitely attracts maximum attention, and I'm not one usually for being loud, but you could say no choice with this one, Don't know if that is such a good or bad thing as yet

Being Sprint Blue and with that bodykit people are probably thinking 'wow an RS4!'

Saw one very much like yours yesterday in Norwich, I like the wheels- they are the same as mine

I prefer this one to the RS4, Have been told it is a one of a Limited Special Edition run of 250 DTM's, therefore relatively rare, not sure I could justify the 4.2(or is it 4.8?) on the RS4 around where I live.

Its all new to me and again have been told I can mod it to turn out around 300hp is this correct? I suppose the next question after that is is it all worth it?

    Cheers

A4 DTM edition... beautiful car, beautiful car.... great example of one...

The only bad thing about these is cleaning the wheels!

Thank You, Actually your very right, if she wasn't virtually mint condition, then I wouldn't have adopted her, ok so she's got a few niggles with Xenon lamps flickering and an engine DTC which I'm told is a simple pipe dislodged or the like, but otherwise she's showroom condition, just hope the barstewards on the streets keep their keys away from her, unlike they had done to my Merc.

I looked at a couple of DTMs but they were either too expensive or sold before I decided.
The wheels are like the ones I just removed from my A4 Q Sline SE. They're nice enough but a nightmare to clean. Have a look for my post recently (probably page 2 of the forum) showing my car before and after changing the wheels.

Tuning wise - standard it's around 217bhp....same as mine.
As far as I can find out, a remap can take you up to around 250-275bhp depending on which tuner you visit.
No doubt there is potential for further tuning but from what I can find out, you start needing additional or stronger parts to cope with the power. Maybe someone can confirm this though.

There was a run of 250 released in the UK to celebrate Audi winning the Driver Championship, Touring Championship and Manufacturer Championship in the same year. One letter from each of Driver, Touring and Manufacturer is the reason for the name. I think the year was around 2003 or 2004.

Lovely car - I particularly like the front spoiler - extra aggressive!!!!
