1998 a3 1.9tdi 110: Well i have started all over again with a new car. Just got rid of my e39 528 to buy someething more sensibe and economic as a run about and two weeks in and im already modifying it( I have a 2000 carrera 2 911 for fun as well and this is just meant to be a daily runner)

The shocks were knackered when I bought it so they were replaced with a coilover kit almost straight away. The alloys on it then looked out of place so I have a second hand set of 17" TT alloys on their way from ebay to sort that.
I am now looking at the possibilty of a remap or tuning box as well just to make it a bit more driveable. Any feedback on tuning boxes? Dont want to spend a fortune, so wold either be that or a simple postal ECU remap. I have had the remap done a couple of years ago on my Seat leon 1.8tvt and it made a noticeble difference, but not sure how much of a difference it makes on the 1.9tdi engine

i know that from a 110 you tend to get about 136 BHP with a remap. but with it being a diesel you need to fit an induction kit to it otherwise it overheats with as the standard intake cant handle it.
    Audi A3 1.9 TDI sport 130
MODS: turbo back miltek (non res), ram air CAF, EGR delete, window tints, smoke side repeaters, R32 alloys 18", lowered 35mm on eibach suspension, alpine head unit, vibe space 15" subwoofer, hertz components.
    Still to do: Clutch, remap.

You may want to consider the remap day we're holding on the 6th March. We've seen 110's go up to 150hp in the past.
