    Hi

For about 1 month now, my steering feels permanently "heavy", specially at low speeds or when parking/stationary
The car has eletromechanical power steering with servotronic, so it looks like it thinks im driving at speed and hence get a heavy steering, even when the car is stopped

Ive checked the tire pressures, steering alignment etc, and checked the 10A steering fuse, all ok

Is there something else i should be looking at ? Or is this something i need to get a dealrship to look at ( $$$)

    thanks

Ok, it turns out it may be the servotronic relay,as i get a clicking noise coming from the direction of the fusebox under the dashboard when i turn the steering wheel at low speeds.
Something is wrong it the control module or relay that controls the servotronic variable assist electromechanical power steering
    Question:
    - what is the relay part nr or where can i find a replacement one ( online ?)
    - any idea of how much it would cost ?
    - any tips on replacing it ? its clear to me i need to take part of the dashboard off to get to it, but any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

I have the same symptoms but it looks like mine is the solenoid on the rack, which is only available with the rack! £750 for part only!

If you get any info please let me know.

    Thanks
