    hi

i have just bought my first audi

    its a A4 S LINE SPECIAL EDITION 2.0TFSI 220BHP

its on a 2007 plate cracking car

but just wondered why there is no s line badge on the steering wheel ?

its not like it could have fallen off as there is no indent at the bottem of the steering wheel ?

its the Version 2 model of the car with the black optic pack (so no chrome)

its got the S line badge on the grille and on the sides of the car.

does anyone know why it does not have it ?
and can i just buy a S Line badge (the same that sticks onto the sides of the car and put that on the leather steering wheel at the bottom ?

really want to see the S Line logo in the car ;-) sad i know but i am having a mid life crisis :-)

V2 has the alcantara steering wheel doesn't it? It must just be V1 that has the S-Line badge on the steering wheel then, the alcantara wheel being carried over from the DTM Edition.

Oh do you have the metal RS4 pedal covers in your car?

Forgot to add I don't think standard A4 S-Lines have the steering wheel badge either for some reason.

Cars I have been in and seen the badge on the steering wheel is:

    B7 A4 S-Line SE v1 (my car)
    A6 S-Line
    A3 S-Line

All have had the 3 spoke leather MFSW with red and white stitching

    hi

yes mine has the rs4 metal pedals

ok well it makes more sense now was thinking i did not have a true s-line special edition lol

hopefully i got a good deal on the car

    2007 plate
    5k on the clock (yes 5k) :-)
    audi sat nav plus
    6 cd changer
    ambient light pack
    full size spare wheel :-)
and some other lighting pack door lights and under seats ect

in pearl lava gray (was looking for black) but does look black in certain lights :-)

not one mark or sratch or stone chip

guy wanted Ł16995 got it for Ł16k

    its a great car :-)

got a couple of buttons on the steering wheel think one says function or mode ? and one the other side that do nothing when you press them ?
cant find what they are in the manual ? any ideas ?

also the engine seems louder than i thought it would be and when standing still if you rev the engine you can feel the car rock to one side slightly (is this just the power of the engine) ?

Sounds a good car! I love Lava Grey as a colour especially with the black optic pack.

The buttons control the car phone kit if installed, if you press the mode button on the left if it displays 'insert phone' on the DIS computer you will have a phone prep installed.

It may also control SATNAV as well but as I don't have that in my car I can't tell you for sure.

    Welcome to the B7 club!

You can use the buttons for some functions on the satnav but mainly the phone for SIM search or voice dialling etc.

Special editions have (fairly) unique chassis numbers as they are assembled by quattro gmbh, not on a 'run of the mill' production line.
Chassis number will start with WUA....... (not WAU... ,as standard s-lines have)

Also the final 6 digits will be from ...800000 onwards.
    Thats how to tell a real SE S-line A4. You don't need a badge..lol

Thats very interesting... so they are not just a normal S line with a few extras thrown in to increase sales towards the end of the platforms shelf life?

Are they all quattro? Or do some come with 2WD?
