    Hi Guys

I've been looking to improve the lighting on my 06 2.0 tdi S Line and came across these on ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H7-HID-XENON-C...item1c0eed471f

Has anyone seen these things fitted or in use, and more importantly do they work?

Also want to fit LED sidelights, but manual says dealer can change sidelights only??

    Cheers

I know nothing on the HID but the sidelights are an easy change. You just have to pull hard and they will pop out. I changed my sidelights awhile ago fo a whiter light which looks good.

Now LED sidelights cause the bulb blown fault thing to be reported on the DIS so have a search on here before you head down that road.

if you are using LED side light bulbs then you will get a fault if you use standard 501 bulbs that are extreme white then you shouldnt have a problem. as for a hid kit in an A4 they can come up with a bulb out error on the computer but to get around that you have gt to change the long coding using vagcom.

    Update!
I've changed the side lights for LED's which look cool on their own.

Also fitted a HID kit with 6000k bulbs, from ebay for under £80! Little bit fiddly but straight forward to fit. I needed some cancellers as they went out when i started the engine... not very helpful!

But all up and running now, has transormed the look of the car and produces an amazing amount of light on the road.

will post links to the shops etc and try to upload some photos

Well done Patb - did you have to have any coding? I seem to remember reading elsewhere that this may have to be done with conversions? (we will be looking for an A4 wiv 'em already on!!)
