    I have a B7 2006 A4 saloon with dual zone climate
the air started to blow cool on drivers side whilst warm/hot on pass side when the temp was set to HI or warm. I looked on this site at other threads and thought it could be the motor that controls the flap behind dash, I removed the panel under the column and saw a yellow three part arm above the two heater pipes, this was hanging loose and by manually moving this i was able to make the air blow warm. there is a box the size of a matchbox with a wiring block going in to it fixed by 2 bolts, I assumed that this is the motor and the arm should be connected to this, the end of the yellow arm looks as though it has sheared at the point where it fixes, it doesnt look as if the arm can be repaired, does a new motor come with a new arm or part of, it is arkward to get to and fixed on with 6mm bolts
any light shed on this would be welcomed.
    thanks

    Hello,
I had exactly the same problem last week. Its posted on this forum somewhere.
You will need to replace the motor as the yellow arm is fixed
to it.It is held on by 3 8mm bolts, quite awkward to remove.
A new motor from audi is £90.but I got one from a breakers for £10.

Helllo, Remove the panel at your knees just above the pedals. Its the one that holds the car handbook. When you remove it,be careful
    to unclip the diagnostic socket.
Once this panel is out of the way look upwards and you will see the motor on the side of the heater unit.It is held on with 3 very small bolt head screws

also remove end of dash panel (visible when door opened) to reveal screws to remove panel above pedals.
I found a long flexible shaft screwdriver with a socket end (6mm i think)
very useful. or a small ratchet arm socket with a hex fitting and 6mm socket
I got motor from online breaker for £40, new from motor factors was £95.
arkward to get to, i laid a board outside the car supported by blocks to raise it to sill level then laid face up into the footwell, this was more comfortable than arching your back over sill. hope u get on ok

I have looked throught my service reports from when the car was new and the previous owner also had this problem... I am not sure what the fix was though as it has not been put on the report
