    Hi all,
    any one know the firing order on a mk3 golf? i think its 1342 but where is 1? and does it fire clockwise? eg...

    4 3



    or



    4 2
    3 1


    or am i totally wrong?

    Er, did you mean that? There's no difference between those diagrams in terms of sequence. Most 4 cylinder cars fire 1342, there are a few old cars that went 1243.

    Ah! Got you! On mine (IIRC), and you haven't said what engine you have, as you look at the distributor top it is more like:
    24
    13

    and the rotor turns anti-clockwise.
