    Exclamation Alhambra 6 spd gearbox failure – 24-08-2009,02:43 PM
    Wondered if any one can help,
    The 6 speed Gearbox in my (52 plate Seat Alhambra se)1.9 tdi (115 pd) AUY engine has knackered the diff. the car wont pull away in any gear and makes a horrible grinding noise, Trying to find a replacement Box.
    Any know which 6 speed boxes fit as there seems to be loads out there ?

    Is it the same as the 1.9 tdi, the local dealership were not helpful, they wont give me the part numbers!

    someone said they did fit but i have no idea

    Don't be too hasty, it's probably the RH Drive Shaft that has stripped the spline. Have a look on the Galaxy owners forum there's lots of info on there.
