Hello, I'm in abit of a predicament with what to do with my current alloy wheels. I have some RS6 18s currently on my car but they are curbed bad style. I bought the car and they were allready like this but after having the car awhle now the alloys are starting to get to me. I was going to get hem refurbed but the cheapest I can find is about 280£ which is pretty harsh, espacially when I can by some fake brand new ones for about 270£ or 2nd hand for about 200£ and then sell mine on ebay for about 150+ or something. The only problem is if mine are real, then to buy brand new they would probs be in the 700£+ mark and then it would makes sense to get them refubed instead. Th only problem is how do I find out if they are real or not? as they look just like real ones! but then again so do the fakes?

Take one off and look for a part number on them. I'm not sure where it'll be on those as I've never had that style myself!

If you do decide to go down the refurb route, I can't recommend these guys highly enough. They take the wheels down to bare metal (most refurb places don't bother) before making any minor repairs that might be necessary and then powdercoating and lacquering them. Mine cost £250 and they now look absolutely mint They even dressed the tyres before handing the car back to me...

These are currently on Ebay being sold as original. Like you say if they are best to keep them and get them refurbished. I had the s4’s done for £50 a corner.

Genuine OEM Audi wheels have distinctive part numbers cast into them on the rear of the spokes near the centre. An example of a part number is 4F0 601 025 AF, it would be a similar series of numbers and letters.
