    i have a golf 1.4 and converting it into a 30 edition is a gti and a 30 edition the same bake bumper

    Hello mate,

    YES and NO is the short answer. The upper section/half of the rear bumper of a golf mk5 is the same all round. The lower half/section is the one that differs between the ranges.

    The GTI lower rear, again is black textured plastic with the exhaust holes and is a one moulded shape that curves around the rear.

    The Edition 30's rear lower is primed from new and then colour code painted and has a different shape and lines that follow on from the side skirts and also the exhaust cut out has a trim surrounding the cut out. Looks far better than the GTI in its features.

    I added this bumper to my GTI some months back and posted some b4 and after pics on here if you fancy having a look feel free. Must admit, the lower section is VERY expensive new from VW and comes primed only so the best bet is to try and find a used one.
