it is your yaw rate sensor or the lateral accelration sensor i think. Not sure why it is putting the abs light on. You will have to have it scanned by a bigger system. They are not cheap. The yaw rate sensor is £400 and the other one is £117. If it turns out to the yaw rate sensor. I have one spear. Should you need it.

ok as this fault comes and goes i cleared the code and disconected what a think is the g force/longitudinal acceleration sensor (found behind the side panel of dash on the passenger side has 3 wire connector) and on came the traction & abs orange lights along with the 01279 code so i beleive this sensor to be at fault the strange thing is since disconnecting it and reconecting it then clearing the code it has not come back??????? well not yet??????
