    Hi Guys,

Seemed to be jinxed with bad luck at the moment. Today my keyfob went into the washing machine for an hour and a bit, what are the chances of it working when it's dry anyone experience this?

If it doesn't work, is it a case of going to Audi to get a replacement for the whole thing or just part of it....what a n00b.....feel like crapat the moment, and cant wait to get weekend over!

If the key has a remote control, remove the batterys, and replace them, there is a good chance it will still work.If there is no remote there is an even bigger chance it will be ok

Hi Kenney, Thanks for advice, letting it dry tonight before I try it tomorrow, its the whole thing, remote, transponder and stuff. I suppose Im crapping it if the transponder bit doesn't work as I guess I have to buy the part but also get it programmed

Mine survived an hour or so in a bucket of water. Couldn't find my keys whilst washing the car and there they were in the wash bucket. D'oh!

I suspect you may be OK on the transponder side of things. If you do need to get a new one programmed then I can help you. Do you have another key?

Hi Sharky, thanks for the reply. I dont have a second key yet, but I think it's probably a good idea to get a spare. Can you pm me of how much you'd charge mate and what you'd need to match the transponder to my car.

    Cheers

    J

Well tried it this morning and remote part not working (so I've disconnected my CLP). Im hoping a change a batteries will sort that part out, although I've forgotton how to resync my fob.

The transponder side of things seems to be OK, as I started the car OK and taken my regular journey to work.

What a jinxed weekend, hopefully a new week and a new start.
