Is there anyone who could come out to central Oxford to remap my A4 170 TDi? Or would you suggest I go somewhere instead - does it make any difference? I've seen a place who do it for £225 - http://www.ecu-remapping-service.com...engine-tuning/ any good?

If you don't mind waiting I could come and see you next time I'm down that way? Or if you'd like to come up to Mansfield we're doing 20% off in August

Yes, if you're in the area at any point let me know, unfortunately I don't think I will be up your way any time soon... Thanks for the offer!

I'm absolutely with you on this. I have the same problem on a 2.0 tdi 55 plate. I've blocked off the EGR valve cleaned the pipes, no air leaks etc and still an irritating fault. I've found if it can't be diagnosed via OBD then the dealers turn off to the problem.
I have also been considering a remap to address this problem, but none will let you try it to see. If you get a result please let me know as this is a wider spread problem with these than Audi let on. Best of luck!
