a3 3rd brake light

Hi anyone know where to buy the small led bulbs for the 3rd brake light as some are out and i heard you can just replace the small bulbs instead of the whole unit. Thanks for helping in advance.

Hiya, its a lot easier to get a 2nd hand 3rd brake light than to change the bulbs, i tried this on my old TT, its took ages, and some still did not work!!

yeah you can change them did it on mine when i got it , any motor factors will sell the bulb , there the same as side light push in bulbs

Depending on age of car they're probably bulbs not LED's you can get them from halfords for about 2 quid each. to get to the strip you need to remove all the inside boot housing and then theres a screw you undo and it comes out quite easily
