I received my Audi A3 this week. I didn't want Black as there are already two black A3's in my street, and I was considering Pearl Red, but there was already an A4 with that colour in the street (are Audi's REALLY that popular?!)

...so in the end I went for Deep Green without even seeing it. Was a little worried that it might be too light, but I was impressed when it arrived - Deep Green is a REALLY dark green that actually looks black in some lighting conditions.

So, worth considering if you're thinking of non-standard colours I reckon...

Audi's are becoming increasingly popular, Audi are going for world domination in the premium sector I am sure of that.

If I think about companies I worked for in Construction, they used to have the usual Ford/Vauxhall/Honda company car range. Now they are steering towards BMW/Audi as well. Whether it is the low tax bands of the TDIs and stronger resale residuals I don't know.

Saw a deep green RS4 on ebay the other day- I see what you mean about it looking almost black, still, quite a unique colour

1997 MK3 Golf GTI 16v Anniversary Diamond Black- now gone!

Quite a bold move buying a car without seeing the colour. What if you didn't like it? Anyway I'm glad you did and sounds like Audi's are popular on your street...

    Cheers..

As requested, here are some piccies, both in and out of direct sunlight...

Out of the sun it is looking almost black:

On the Audi website this colour is called "Deep Green pearl effect" - might be available for other models too...?

In the sun you can see the green starting to come out:
