has it got the k03 or the k03s in it as standard ?

, is it the k03 that can safely be modded up to 220bhp, or is the k03s that has its safe limit on 220 ?

if you are a facelift A3 then you have the Ko3s which can be maped to to around about 220bhp

facelift was in 2000. new a3 8p's came out in 2003. im pretty sure you have the k03s. i believe the a3 quattros are engine code AUQ an they came with the k03s 100%.

Hi there, i have an A3 1.8T quattro and the engine code is ARY, its a facelift model 2001.

Just to join in, does anybody know which turbo my a3 1.8t has?? it's an 02 plate??

tish, you will have a k03s. ARY engine code is k03s also. i have only just noticed there are 4 different 180bhp engines. ARY, APP, AUQ and AJQ! no idea what the differences are though.

20vtel, Cheers for that mate, mine is the 150bhp engine so would it still be the ko3s turbo?? if so, thats good news as i am about to get it re-mapped.
