I keep getting this problem on my 52 plate cab. Normally the first time I press the brake pedal on a journey and then it disappears (possibly dirty/loose connection?) Has anybody else had this and fixed it? I can't see any easy way to check the light assembly for loose connections, can anyone advise on the easiest way to do this?

    Thanks...

No, I haven't. Is it a mechanical one at the pedal or hydraulic positioned elsewhere?

Would that throw up a fault for the centre light?

One of the rear light bulbs has 'gone' a couple of times but a tap to the cluster and it comes back on fine and it gave the correct fault warning...

I've had wrong bulb warnings on an A3 and an A4.
Tapping the bulb has probably fixed a broken element in the bulb, change it.

OK, I've replaced bulbs and cleaned up terminals but still get this problem occasionally. Particularly annoying to trace any fault if it isn't there when I come to check it!
The one time it came on at the end of the journey, I gave the boot lid a bang and it started working again. Has anybody had faults on the LED pcb or connections?

I'm pretty sure I've fixed this now... Took the LED strip out and dismantled it, it all clips together so this is fairly easy. The connector at one end of the pcb has its pins soldered into the board, each pin had 2 solder points and all 4 joints had cracked! Quick job with a soldering iron and it's all back together and I haven't had the fault again.
    Hope this helps somebody else!

I can't remember the exact sequence but you have to remove the inside boot lining and it unbolts from inside. It should be fairly obvious once you get in there... It's then a case of unclipping the housing to get the led strip out and re-soldering.
