    Hi
I'm looking at fitting cruise control to my 04 old shape 1.9 tdi A6.
The harness that comes with the kit has 5 wires from it, 4 go to the white connector under the ECU.

My question is where should the 5th wire be connected to ?
Should it connect to fuse 5 in the fuse box, or should fuse position (31 labeled as the cruise control fuse) be used for it.
I have also seen it mentioned on other models that for diesel cars the connection should be made to the S102 fuse in the ECU box.
    Any advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Surely the kit comes with instructions. Does it have the brake and clutch switches and how to code the car to enable the CC. I think you need the CCT diagrams for this. PM me. what colour is the wire. Regards Peter

The kit has instructions in german and says the wire goes to S5 i presumed that was to be connected to a switched live feed but wasnt sure where to connect it.

all the wires are grey but the other 4 have the pin numbers for the 17 pin connector printed on the coating and go to pin's 7, 8, 9 & 10 in that 17 pin connector.

It has no switches in the kit, i have looked using vag com (i dont remember what the measuring block was) you can see the switches that i think are used for the cruise control change from o to 1 when the pedals were pressed and released.
I think the description for the switches were F36 and F58 or something like that.
