Well looking into the erro codes and the controller itself, I'm hazarding that it maybe toasted. water and electrics don't mix!!!

This leads me to my next question, when I get a replacement controller, are there any specific moves i need to do, or just plug in, connect battery and go???

Hi It will need to be coded, you have the coding from the old unit 0013112 this will probably save you a lot of hassle, otherwise you will need to search (guided functions) regarding the index code on the unit.

I get the coding bit, is that from the controller itself, if so that means the controller was successfully interrogated. What I'm thinking now that the controller is dried out, do you think it will be working?

Yes there is a good possiblity,if you are lucky. They cost a small fortune, but there are firms that can repair them for a lot less than what they cost.

I will give it a try, even just to double check the adaption code, I assume this is for the number of airbag. ie seat, steering wheel, curtain etc.

What is the guided functions...is that in VCDS?
