hi all need a bit of help, i have vag com shareware version when i scanned my a4 2.5 v6 tdi 2004, fault code 01044 control module incorrectly coded. the code is set to 0000, when i tryed to enter the correct code in using the login code first then the soft code it accepted them but would not hold the code when you clicked off the abs screen and returned the codes disappeared. the abs light and esp light are always on. is there a way of storing the codes forever. and will i have to upgrade my vag com to the full version to do this thanks all.

I believe that ur version of software should be fully activated to erase faults from ABS controller. At some point, someone replaced the pump you have on the car with a second hand pump and it was not programed properly...The pumps electronics are known to fail internaly- dry joints most of the time.

The login/coding procedures needs to be followed by the appropriate and successful basic setting, which means the shareware version will be of no help here. I suggest you take it to the dealer then...
