Does anybody know if updated map DVDs are available for the RNS-E and how much they cost.

Also, is updating the maps as easy as just buying a new DVD and slotting it in - or is a software update process required?

New maps can be available from Teleatlas Direct , and yes normally just insert new map and away you go.

Advice: It's always best to have the engine running BEFORE you put the new mapping in, and don't interrupt it !

    Thanks for the quick response.

When I go to the site an select my car details I get the following page:-

    http://navigation.teleatlas.com/en/s...d/audi/a4/2006

I have two choices BNS 4.X and BNS 5.X - there is a picture with the 4.X selection which is not my sat nav. But unfortunatly the 5.X has no picture.

Is the RNS-E DVD navigation known as BNS 5.X?

Sorry - the Audi DVD system is not the same mapping. I think you can only get them from Audi direct. I mis-read and thought you had a VW system.
