can any one tell me what is the difference between SE or S line.

I am told the ride on the sline is too hard, but the car looks better.

The S line is a marketting con to make you think you have a sports car. In reality you will only get a bad back!

S Line is the 'sports' version, sports (hard ?) suspension, 18" alloys, sports seats, SE is supposed to be the more comfortable version but doesn't look as good.

You will not be sorry. My last A4 2.5TDI did 249,000 miles in 5 years and was very kind to me. I often had S line cars when mine was in for servise and they were really uncomfortable and also had a lot of road noise with the silly little hair dresser tyres. We will not however discuss the cam shafts and cam and air con belt idler pulleys!

Don't find the s line uncomfortable at all, but guess depends in what you are used to. Anyways, don't take our opinions, get a few test drives in both over less than smooth roads.

Same as BMW you have an SE and a M-Tec (being the sports)

The sports always has a hard ride.

Sport is not a con yes it has a hard suspension but if like me you do alot of motorway miles the S-line does wonders round long fast bends it remains flat round corners not to mention the recaro seats that are badged S-line are very supportive.

Yes the S-line looks better the SE just looks no diiferent to the base.

Mine has the 20 spoke 19" wheels with the S-line suspension and its fine.

Depends on your age of your over 50 go for the SE if your under 50 then go S-Line you dont want to look older than you are driving it. :-)
