    Hi all.

I'm new to the forum and have recently purchased a 1998 1.8 20v Turbo Passat.

    Here's the car -

I'm looking for some advice on what the best Atmospheric BOV would be for my car.

Basically something which produces a nice sound, value for money, quality etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

So do I assume that the OEM BOV is not very Atmospheric?, or is that too smart?

Why post in the thread at all if it's not a sensible contribution? Are you just looking for arguements?

You know exactly what I am asking advice on.

If I were looking for arguements (stet), I would pick you up on your spelling, just trying to learn from an expert!

I have read on other threads that you should use a full atmospheric dump valve as it can cause problems but there is a dual dump valve that does both re-circulate and atmospheric it's made by forge, this is it:

    Forge Split-R Clicky

I don't have one and don't know how good they are but I'm sure someone on here will have one and be able to tell you more.

Edit: The car looks nice, any other mods on it?

I have the same engine etc...
Me personally wouldnt fit a BOV if it was know to cause running issues.

Better to fit just an uprated one from a TT 225.

    Just my 2p`s worth.

Now now chaps not point in arguing on here!
