Ive been offered a set of 19 inch rims by a friend that are the rs4's with tyres at a decent price.I was wondering if they will fit my 1.4 golf and if so will there being any problems such as rubbing, slower acceleration, affect on handling, affect the amount of people i can put in the back of my car.
I say this as i dont want to buy into problems buy purchasing these wheels.
    Any help is appreciated

19's will fit on the mk4 no problems, i have 18's A8 Replica's on mine, but the only thing i found was the acceleration was affected, due to the wheels weighing a ton....

You could fit some 20" wheels on mk4's with very little to no mods

You'd struggle to pull them with the 1.4 and the handling wouldn't be the best.

The size of wheel is inversely proportional to how well the owner is hung.

Probably does average out then, running 195/40/16 front and 195/45/16 on the rears with 7" front and 8" rear rims respectively with stretch.

Seven inches in rim width is quite satisfactory.
