Ok so its an Altea, but all the same cars under the skin...
My 2.0TDI smokes. Blue/white smoke thats heavy and lingers - I'm sure its diesel, not engine oil. What colour is diesel smoke? I would have thought it sooty black?
It only does it briefly when I go from idle or overrun. It doesn't do when I hoof it or accelerate gently after the initial pedal squeeze, just that first 2-400 revs above idle speed. The car doesn't seem down on power (remapped 3 months ago) but I'm leaving clouds of smoke at every junction.

Presumably something is causing overfueling at the early stage, then correcting. This started after I took off the egr and thoroughly cleaned it (2 toothbrushes, 10 pairs of gloves, 2 tins of carb cleaner and lots and lots of mess) The egr seemed to be actually ever so slightly stuck open with the soot build up (only 27k miles). I checked the diaphragm still worked to open valve and it was sealing correctly.
I did get a cel light up for approx 20 miles but this has since gone.
Would a loose air pipe after the turbo cause this as I did change oil at same time and removed cleaned all the pipe work to and from intercooler which had a lot of oil leaking from the dodgy pipe seals and supposedly clean filtered air? A leak of boosted air could lead to a lower charge at inlet manifold confusing the ecu?
I've ordered vag com so await to see what fault codes are present but would be grateful for any ideas.
    Thanks

OK vag com shows no fault at all. Now smoking heavily most of the time and its burning engine oil, not fuel.
Also a faint engine speed/pitch related whine, sounds like a distant police siren. Turbo ******* or is it the tandem pump?
Turbo still giving full boost - up to 2,5 bar actual and specified and drives fine apart from smoke screen behind car!
Off to dealers on Wednesday as still under warranty.

Has now stopped, suspect overfilled with oil and dealer found a loose/leaking/knacked turbo to intercooler pipe
