    Hi all - new to this site - plenty of useful info on it, but need some help sorting out my car - 1997 A4 1.9tdi. I have the following faults found after a scan :-
    Address 35: Centr. Locks Labels: 8L0-862-257.LBL

    Component: ZV-Pumpe, DWA D03
    Coding: 00266
    Shop #: WSC 06325
    3 Faults Found:
    01371 - Alarm triggered by Door Contact Switch; Driver's Side
    35-00 - -
    01374 - Alarm triggered by Terminal 15
    35-00 - -
    01370 - Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Address 45: Inter. Monitor Labels: 4B0-951-173.LBL
    Part No: 4B0 951 173
    Component: Innenraumueberw. D01
    Coding: 00102
    Shop #: WSC 06325
    3 Faults Found:
    01377 - Ultra Sonic Sensor for Alarm System; Left (G170)
    27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

    35-00 - -
    01383 - Alarm triggered by Anti-Theft Sensor; Front Right
    35-00 - -

    Have tried to clear the faults with Vag-com but even though they've cleared (on vag-com), I still activate the alarm when opening the driver door + the central locking doesn't work. - Currently using car by opening the passenger door and all seems ok - how do I cure this fault ?? Any help much appreciated.
    Thx, Steve.

    Cheers Crasher - I will have a look tonight. Is there any extra checks I could run to determine actual fault or just replace the switch ?

    You should be able to watch the door lock switch actuation in Measuring Blocks 08, Measured Value Block 001, Display zone 3 where there are four positions of which the second group of two signify

    00 = not actuated
    01 = lock
    10 = unlock
    11 = not permitted

    Update :- yesterday I replaced the micro-switch/lead at the back of the door lock and everything is back working again.
    Part cost £35 from dealer - quite steep, but it least I can open the door now w/o triggering the alarm.
    Thanks very much for your help.

    Micro-switch part number - 8D0959985
    £29.47 & VAT.
    Not too difficult to fit - just the awkward bracket at the back of the lock/handle assembly which keeps it all together - great fun !
    Also remember to connect back the correct electric window connections !
    Cheers.
