lights don't flash when locking

When I unlock my 02 Passat Estate the lights flash but they no longer flash when I lock the car.

Any ideas?

I have had the same problem with my 51 plate. It started after I had done an angel eye conversion to the front lights. I thought I had wored them wrong. A couple of weeks later it sorted itself out (saved me the cost of a tip to the dealers !). Have you found the cause of your problem ?

That usually means that the microswitch inside the lock is wrong. Open all doors and check the lights under the door... probably one of them does not light-up. That light is connected directly to the open/closed switch inside the lock. If it is faulty, the cost is about 100€ (sorry for talking about euros...) or if you want, you can try to fix it unmounting and re-solding the small board inside the lock. This is usually the cause of many problems.

Still not working.

All the under door lights are OK, doors and tailgate lock and unlock normally. One interior light is not working but surely it can't be that can it?

Is there an alarm I coudl have turned off?

Hi guys,
Might be worth seeing if you can get the car plugged into a laptop with VAGCOM to see if any errors have been recorded by the measuring blocks. It may be as simple as resetting the software back to the factory default values as the angel eye conversion might be making things register differently to the sensors in the central locking.
