hazard lights flashing !

Hi , has any one had the problem of thier hazard lights start flashing for no reason ? Sometimes the car will be parked up alarm on , and i will get a call that my lights are flashing but no alarm , any ideas thanks ?

Faulty hazard switches are not uncommon.

Does your alarm actually sound when set off? my alarm just flashes hazards with no horn at the mo as the alrm unit is cream crackered.

No , ive never heard it go off . ill have to try and set it off . How do you know yours is duff ?

sit in the car and lock it via the remote central locking. wait a minute then move about, this will activate the alarm from the internal sensors, you'll see the hazards go and you should hear it. mine has no sound and a diagnostics plug in confirmed problems with it. also when you lock the car your red l.e.d on the drivers door will flash, if it stays solid red lit up that also means the alarm is not functioning properly. try all that and see what happens.

Did that today and my alarm went off but was only an internal siren , like a high pitched buzzer . Is that right , that would not attract attention ?

dont sound right to me. what about the red l.e.d on the drivers door? did it stay solid lit up red for about 30 seconds before flashing again?

The lights start to flash as soon as i arm the alarm .

hi, I have the same problems my hazards flash but no siren, the door led stays solid for 30 seconds which indicates a fault with the alarm system, does anyone know what could be wrong and is it expensive ..also is it a dealer only fix....
