Golf MK4 gt tdi 130BHP tuning mods

Looking for some tuning advice for the Mk4 golf gt tdi 130.

I think its possible to get his up to 200BHP but not sure about which way to do it. Obv i want to do it as cheap as possible coz im not rich, can afford to spend a grand of so on it like.

Was thinking of starting with chipping it to 170bhp, adding a straight through ss exhaust, induction kit and possibly uprated TURBO. Doing this though would mean an uprated clutch to handle the power i reckon!? How much am i looking at for a new clutch roughly with fitting?

Hi Mate,

We can map these to 180hp quite easily, then you've only got 20hp to worry about.

PM DEVONUTOPIA, he's your man for 130pd's his turns out 260, but he's done a few more mods and hoping for 300.

180 break is fantastic from a remap of a 130. Where abouts are you based anyway near m'boro north east? Havnt got car yet but thats the one im after, the 150break type puts my insurance up over £2200. Cheers for the advice mate. Chris

You could do a few things to hit your goal of 200, the stock injectors are good for about 220hp so you could look at a turbo upgrade, of course a good intercooler would not go a miss either. Or... go for injectors, the only issue i could see running these with the stock turbo is the fact you will be limited with the power due to smoke.

Or do all 3 things and you should see way over your 200hp mark!

Thanks for the advice bud will get uprated turbo, intercooler, injectors, straight through exhaust and possibly induction kit. Should be a fcking monster if i get it over 200break cant wait til i get the car and start working on it. Thanks for the advice lads its appreciated. Chris

What turbo you thinkning of?

I've seen some good results from a fellow tuner on a turbo he swears by, if you want details drop me a pm
