    hi,

my first post on here and hopefully someone can help:

in the summer it (my 2.3 v5 170) started running a bit funny:

    1. a couple of times it would not start when hot
    2. sometimes there is a smell of unburnt fuel
    3. throtle response is not very smooth
    4. if you blip the throtle there is a sucking noise sounds like it is coming from the top of the engine at the bulkhead

no warning lights have come on at anytime, i have searched high and low over the engine and can find no airleaks.

before i take it to a garage and they spend a week and tell me no fault found anyone have any ideas?

    cheers

What about the coolant temperature sensor, I seem to remember these things used to go for a pastime. My V5 had the same symptoms and a new temp sensor cured it.
