Best way is to check the front pages of your drivers manual...

Instead of that, you should find a sticker under the mat in your boot area.

That will tell you the power of the engine in kW

    eg 130PD is 96kW

    No, I reckon it is a 115.

Have you / can you see the engine code letters.

    AJM engine= 115hp / 85kw
    AFN engine= 110hp / 81kw

    hi
Strange one this apparantly the red lettering on the back also gives you an indication
No red in TDi is 95bhp
Red i only is 110 bhp
    Di red is 130bhp

There is no mention on vehicle reg or log/ service book I found this out to my cost when i Brought a 53 plate advertised as a 130bhp asked the guy in the garage if it was deff a 130 was told it was only to find out at my next service it was a 110

Yes, I had been told similar to that as the guy who changed my cambelt told me my car was the 130 bhp but as previous posts clearly indicate the KW rating relates to the bhp - so i'd trust the kw rating over different colour lettering on the boot.

I agree my 53 plate 1.9 TDI is a 130 BHP but only has a red i so i advise you check paper work and engine no, (mine is actually listed on the logbook) dont just accept the colour of letters on the boot

Have a look at Parkers Guide online. They give a list of all VW/Audi models with all engine options, reviews etc.
