    Afternoon all.
I’ve had my 2017 A5 Sportback for a week now and have just had new branded tyres fitted to replace the awful no-brand ones the garage fitted.

Question though. My wheels are 18”, so tyres are 245 40 18. The door sticker says I should have 44psi in the fronts and 39psi in the rears - which I think is too high, and I think the car feels a bit ‘wandery’ on the motorway. I have dropped the fronts to 42psi.

I just wondered what pressures others were using on the same tyres?

    Cheers

Does the sticker show comfort pressures as well as economy or what is the VIN?

I dropped the pressures to the comfort settings last night - 39 front / 36 rear, and it felt a bit better this morning.

it might be the new tyres bedding in (only done 100 miles), but with the higher pressures, then car felt very tippy-toey

I ran 18s at those pressures and do agree with the "feel" you've reported, so I let a couple of psi out too.
