Clipped my passenger side wing mirror and completely wrecked it. Is it a major faff to replace one or a straightforward process? Don’t really want to pay main dealer to do it…

Not done it on a C8, but based on my experience of doing it on a VW Polo it is a fairly straightforward process once you have the door card off. Mirror is attached to the door by a couple of bolts. It is not a quick job though and if you have not done it before you will need to take your time and your mirror will have the added complication of the motor for the folding function which I did not have on the polo. Depending on what was broken on your old mirror I would try and salvage as much as possible as the parts can be expensive, especially you have the dimming function in the mirror glass, the cost of those glasses are stupid money. You'll also need to get the cap sprayed in the right colour

Thanks. I've managed to salvage quite a bit of it and with the help of superglue it's back together. I've ordered new glass. Struggling to find a replacement indicator though - there are a few on eBay and Amazon but only for vehicles up to C7. Not sure where else to look for this part.

Be worth checking if the indicator on the C8 has the same part number as the c7. I am sure Audi will have tried to standardise parts like that as much as possible
