Second Key ?

My daughter has bought a 2019 Q7 which turned out to only have 1 key and the dealer, Cazoo, has refused to provide another one. Contacting Audi, the cost of a new key will be £420-430 including coding. I have been told, not by Audi, that they are only available from Audi, can anyone confirm that is the case? If they are available elsewhere, contact details would be appreciated, particularly in the Oxford area.

What is the VIN? A VAG specialist with a TPS account and ODIS access with GEKO security clearance would be able to do this for a little less. There are other ways using Chinese copies and cloning the remaining key but that will not remove the missing keys access which is important.

Hi Crasher, thanks for your prompt response but I'm afraid you've lost me. I can get the VIN, but could you please explain what you mean with 'remove the missing keys access'?

The “missing key” can be human error but also malicious intent so it must be deleted from the cars security systems in case someone “finds it” if you follow my inference.
