I have a VW Touran 2007 model and two of the wheels have a slow leak which I think is due to the allow wheels being old and having become porous. The tyre size is 205 55 R16.

I want to get some used alloys to replace them and have found 4 alloys from a 2011 VW Caddy with the same number of spokes and tyre dimensions. Does anyone know whether wheels from a Caddy will fit my Touran?

    Thanks for your help!
    Rob

The Golf 5 / Touran / Caddy platform of that era is the same (as are other VAG cars on the platform) so they should do if they are original spec. Main thing to check is the ET marking on the wheel (eg ET50) and rim width (eg 6J or 6.5J). If they are the same and you're sticking to the 205/55R16 then it should be pretty easy. If they change you have to consider if the wheel might rub while turning. If you can get a part number and / or specs post back if needed.

Leaks sometimes start due to corrosion around the rim seal. A wire brush down and re-seating of tyre might fix things.

Thank you @VAG-Abound, that's really useful!

I've decided to get some from ebay that are from a Touran just in case the Caddy measurements don't match. And thanks for the wire brush tip!

    Cheers
