Evening All i have an A6 that has been referred to me that keeps bringing the message on the dash “particulate filter system fault consult owners manual”
this car has had a new pressure sensor, though not genuine, and has had the DPF filter cleaned but the message remains on the dash, there are no faults at all on this car, it has 160k and runs very well.
I have read a few posts on forums to say this is a common issue on this car. Its the 140kw 190BHP version 2014 previous garage cleaned the DPF and reset the DPF to new, on tick over the HPA is 11, on full revs (2.6k soft limiter) its around 38.
Anyone any ideas why this keeps saying there is a fault but no faults logged?

Aftermarket sensors gave us so much grief we now refuse to fit or work with them; if a car comes in with this issue and an aftermarket sensor, the only first step we will take is to fit and calibrate a new genuine sensor, what is the cars VIN?

My suspicion is the SCR catalyst is blocked with urea crystals. The reductant injector dribbles and this excess fluid crystallises into what looks like white cement and is nearly as difficult to remove. We take the injector out and have a look inside with an endoscope. The only practical solution is the multiply revised exchange cat/dpf assembly 04L 131 670 SX which is Ł2499.60 plus revised injector 04L 131 113 S at Ł543.60.
