Audi Connect

Hi,
I have just realized that it's been almost 3 years since I picked up the Q7 and as such the Audi Connect will expire at the end of this month.
Has anyone had this happen to them and if so, what do you suddenly loose over night? Looking at their web site, the only things I can see that I use is:
Google maps -- gutted!
Amazon Music -- I already pay them £100/year for data for this so not sure if this will go or not?
The app to check I locked the car and Panoramic sun roof!

Equally has anyone managed to but a new licence from Audi?

Exactly this - I rang in April and it was extended within a day or so no issues

Whilst my car was in for a 60k inspection/interim service today, I asked if Poole Audi would ask Audi UK to extend the licences for Audi Connect, which they did and I was advised it would be a day or two and then they should become available.

However it would appear it's pretty much instant, as everything has updated in the last couple of hours.

I didn't even have to ask. I checked the car and overnight it was due to expire it automatically added another year! Hats off to Audi on this one

Wowser, that's a first. I wonder if it's because It wouldn't work for the first year and a bit.

Nope, its because they never worked out a method to take payment for the renewals, so they just give it for free now in 12 month chunks.

Enjoy this perk while you can, you lucky lot! Over here in the USA they charge for renewing Audi Connect, and you'd almost think they have a cunning plan to make up for the UK free renewals in how much they charge us here. :O

Yeah, but in the USA you all got chunky lumps of cash for the VAG software cheat on fuel-emissions.
Hasn't happened here (yet )

Just had an email from them confirming 12 months free renewal.

That might be enough, had so many niggles with the car and a case still pending with the UK Motor Ombudsman, probably my last Audi.
