Has anyone on here had the ABT remap done on their SQ7? The quoted figures are 430BHP to 520BHP and torque from 900 to 970. Very tempted!

And don’t worry I wasn’t even remotely tempted by the body kit I don’t plan on hanging around in Halfords car parks any time soon.

I certainly enjoy the power of my SQ7 as it is now, I can't imagine what it's like when tuned. The body kit is certainly marmite. Mine is black with black pack and I like the stealth look it has and the fact it doesn't draw any attention to itself - until I overtake

Only got 272PS Q7 and I've got the ABT Upgrade (325PS / 680Nm) as have a couple of others on here, but dont think anyone has done it on a SQ7 yet - at least not on this forum

Its not a remap, its a physical box that sits "in-line" with the existing ECU, so very much plug and play (plus a couple of other wires to sensors etc).. but no actual "recoding" of the stock ECU at all.

    Cheers

    Andy

Go on, you know you want to, compared to the retail cost of a SQ7 it’s peanuts. Probably retain the value just for rarity value.

    Very tempting indeed...
    Do we know the cost?
Just the "chip" and fitting cost.

Not sure yet - I’ve sent a message to the UK authorised dealer. It they haven’t got back to me yet.

Andy - who did you use for the fitting? I also notice that they don’t offer the same warrantee for UK drivers as on the continent. We’re you happy with the cover you were provided by ABT? Thanks

Richter MotorSport in Milton Keynes mate. They are the official supplier of ABT stuff in the UK. Yeah I got a warranty cover with it, and it was/is pretty comprehensive. After 3 years of having the unit I've never had a single problem either with it and I've had updates to my stock engine ECU since having it and even my entire engine rebuilt!

Ping them as they are the official suppliers and check what the stance is on warranty now I would advise

    Cheers

    Andy

Same outfit for me, as they are the UK authorised partner of ABT. Just note their extra warranty cover won’t apply after car is 3 years old, I checked. But as with Andy I’ve had zero problems so far in c. 6 months of this working great, and have had my engine in some bits and put back together OK with main dealer for other work.
