Which style are the OEM running boards on the Q7?

From pictures I've looked at, they look like these one's:

Audi Q7 2016 onwards OE Style Side Steps | Quality 4x4 Accessories | Derby, United Kingdom | Direct 4x4

Yet, most places (including Stoke Audi in the following link) show the OEM style as:

Audi Q7 4M January onwards 2016 Running Board Foot Side Step GENUINE AUDI SET | eBay

And has anybody had aftermarket running boards fitted in the London area. Any recommendations?

Cheers. I thought so, going by the q7 accessories brochure. Not sure why Stoke audi is showing the old style in their picture.

No problems - just remember tho the initial 4M Q7s built up to I think Jan 16 don’t have a reinforced floor and therefore aren’t suitable for running boards.

There is a long thread on here somewhere - just do a quick search. It also contains pictures of third party boards fitted by a member

I had a read of that thread and it seems like Andy and Wolek fitted the boards themselves.

    There's a video by direct4x4 here:

Audi Q7 2016+ (After Market) Side Steps Fitting Video - YouTube

Seems like there's a fair amount of cutting of the undertray and side tray involved to access the bolt locations. Not sure how difficult it would be without the car on a ramp. I've bought some OEM style boards from here:

2015+ Audi Q7 4M Aluminium ABS Side Bar Steps Pads Running Boards SUV 4x4 | eBay

I'm hoping the fitting of these is similar/identical to the video. Options are:

    1. to attempt myself (probably unlikely),
    2. get a local mechanic to try and fit (cost under £100 assuming a few hours work but worried about them hacking the underneath of the car) or
    3. using a place which has done these before and fits them regularly (cost will probably be around £200).

Again, if anybody has any recommendations/advice, would be much appreciated.
