This might sound petty, but I had my brand new Audi A6 (2015 Plate) engine replaced....(this might not sound like the priority the situation demands but... bear with me) and with all the to-ing and froe-ing the delivery driver constantly had to do (given the months needed for them to be convinced that it was necessary to change the whole shebang) he seemed to consistently enjoy Heart FM...

Now every time I drive my car, when I start up it automatically selects Heart FM....even though I repeatedly choose another station (always the same station mind...)

It always defaults to Heart.... (DAB)

    Its killing me

    help.... me....

    ..... please!

So have you saved any stations to your memory presets or are these stations just from the DAB stations list (click top right I think it is for the presets). It might be that that is the only station physically saved ?
I have to say I can't actually remember what mine does but I'm pretty sure whatever preset station I have on at the point of switching off the car, the same is on in the morning when switching it back on

I'm afraid I can't help, but my car seems to (usually) default to my most listened radio station even when I have been listening to something else on the previous journey. It's always puzzled me as to why it chooses what station when.

My car (standard RMC MMI System) always defaults to the last station listened to. You don't mention what options you have on your car and that could affect the behaviour. The key should remember the last station tuned to when that key was used for locking the car. Do you have Memory seats as that may change what is done and the options you have to save information with the key (I don't have them so cannot say with certainty but seem to recall others saying there are option) also if you have the Smartkey option that may change behaviour. Finally is it possible that Heart is programmed into one of the memories and somehow when you start the car you are inadvertantly selecting that Memory position?

Final suggestion, you could perform a full factory reset to the MMI System and start again with all of the options to get rid of any "gremlin settings"

I've tested it last 2 days for 4-5 trips and it remembers the station each time (MIB2)

    Thanks for the reply guys.

To put more info out there:

I think I have nearly every option on this car (except the Night Vision one) so yes I have the key thing etc.

I never listen to Heart FM. But it's always there at some point unexpectedly... waiting around the corner when I am week, to pounce out and assail me with Lady Gaga or something ... more usually advertising...)

Heart FM is therefore... not stored in my presets

It is really random... some days it just defaults to what I have last had (I never actually change the station from BBC Radio 6 Music come to think of it).

I alternate between my iPhone music and Radio.

That reset just might be my only hope ... Obi-W...
