I am looking in to upping the power on my car when I get it.

    It is a 3.0l quattro, 272bhp.

Are there any tuning products that won't jeopardise my Audi warranty? If I do tune it, should I wait until I get a few miles on the car first? What sort of gains are realistic? I am finding online that 310-320 bhp should be achievable.

For anyone that has it done - is it really worth it?

you gain power by remapping the ecu. a tuner can do this, preferably on a rolling road. the gains can be very good, especially the torque figures which is what counts.. as to your warranty, anything you do may jeopardise it.

Thanks for that. I am wary of risking it as I plan to keep the car for a good few years. I'll see how I get on with the car for a while and go from there. 272bhp should be enough as I am a grown up family man these days. I'll maybe put the money in to something else like a roof rack for trips away.

272 will be fine, but 320 would be better thing is, a remap will invaliadet the warranty, certainly on anything engine related. i presume this is a brand new car..

I've been looking at this and there's many options. Remaps, chip boxes etc
The biggest problem I see is that dsg box, there's a reason audi used the zf box in the bitdi instead of the dsg and tuning the dsg to output more torque and power than the bitdi can't be good for it.
Then again how often do you ride in full throttle at full revs...

Yeah, it is a new car. That is why I am wary against future warranty issues. 272 should do me, I can't be greedy!
