What engine is it? You probably have either 288mm or 312mm discs, if so the ATE caliper from a Passat B5.5 will fit.

As for discs and pads, I'm currently into the OE replacement Brembo stuff, it oozes quality. The bits that normally go red rusty are painted and not a simple spray of zinc primer other lesser makes have and lesser makes still are bare metal.

Awx 130 Im sure the front are 288mm
The passat is Avb 100,Discs and callipers look very similar sized
I cant shift the passat so im going to break it for parts and keep some for my own audi

I can get the brembo front and back discs for 120 euro
Just finding it hard to source brembo pads

    Cheers for feedback

Do you have Eurocaprts over there? If so they do them and if you catch them when they are doing one of their sales it is silly not.

I used to have an AWX'd A6 which are 288mm, unless someone has done the very common 312mm upgrade before you owned it. Best get the tape measure out.

Was that a few years ago? I remember fitting a set back in about 2005-06 and they were bare metal. Last year though I was at ECP about to buy a set of Pagids and the bloke said, have a look at these brembos for just a few quid more. I bought them there and then, they are much improved.

The paint on the disc bell and disc edge is the hammered finished that they are doing now. I'd not seen anything as good until I bought them. I know pagid started spraying theirs with some zinc primer a few years back but the current brembos are a step above the competition at the moment.

Yes, it was a few years ago, now most vendors have "coated disks" with a painted centre. The important is to pick the right spec, not the brand
