    Hi,

I just want to know what are all these different part number revisions e.g. The part I am looking for is 1k0 963 235c however all I see on the internet are 1k0 963 235f or 1k0 963 235d or 1k0 963 235e etc etc ... What do these all mean? I cant seem to find 1k0 963 235c any where but there are plenty of sellers selling 1k0 963 235f? Will they all work with my car which is a Golf MK5 1.9 2004.

    Thank You.

May be worth checking with a dealer, the letter on the end can be just an updated version, i.e the part number you have has been made obsolete but replaced by a later version, on the other hand it could be a different part altogether and not fit ..

Give the dealer your part number and see if they can tell you it has been changed...

Oh I see.. So I should ask the dealer if F or E etc would work with my car and if so then better to buy F or E etc.

    Thank You.

Vw part numbers get superseded quite often as vw quite often change manufactures for a particular part such as clutch parts etc as they want it produced cheaper to make a better profit margin.
Usually the part is cheaper to obtain the parts direct from the manufacture as I do quite often for clutch parts etc.
I just replaced a clutch on a mk4 golf today that was fitted with the wrong clutch and flywheel at the factory when new. When I received the new clutch kit it looked a lot different to the one fitted.

I will ring VW up on monday and ask them for the price of the parts.. Looking for a aux heater and a temperature flap motor V68.. I have a feeling the price might go into the hundreds and if so then I will ask them which other part numbers are the same as mine as I cant find this used part any where and hopefully they can let me know and I might be able to buy some used parts for a lot cheaper.

    Thank You.

Vw Tps trade parts data base lists yours as 1K096325E £273 so not too cheap.
The usual problem faliure is due to a blown resister which can usually be replaced.

Yes I took it apart and just pushed the resistors with my finger and one fell out.. I then soldered it back on again however didnt know which side is which so just randomly soldered it on not thinking about a positive or negative side for the resistor. I still have to test it but I am putting everything together and have ran into a small problem with the V68 flap motor that I had to remove from the car to get the aux heater out.. I took the V68 motor out but now cannot remember which way it goes back in..Any help on it? Its the last thing left to do before connecting all the wires up and testing the aux heater to see if it works..I will make another post on the V68 motor as I shouldnt really be asking 2 questions on here so thank you for the clarification on part numbers. I might try find a cheap E revision part of ebay if the one I repaired does not work.

    Thanks.
