Driving last night, and the safety systems (air bag) yellow light came on.

Scanned it with vcds and it shows as:

9451793 - Igniter 2 for pedestrian protection - Short to ground.

Tried clearing it and it came straight back.

Did a little research, and apart from a 2013 VW Passat, thats all I could find. He said it turned out to be 2 little pistons near the bonnet hinge, that push the bonnet up if its involved in a collision, but I couldnt find anything like that on mine. (was hoping it would be simple like a loose electrical plug or something)

As I have only had the car a little over a month, I have contacted the dealer I brought it from and they are going to look at it tomorrow.

    Hope its nothing to major!

Well, garage couldnt fathom it, looked like a main dealer job, then I had an "I wonder" moment, so I checked all plugs under both drivers and passanger seat, and between using Delphi Diagnostic kit and vcds, the fault has cleared. Lets see if it stays off.

I didnt even think the Audi A6 c7 had the pedestrian protection bumper that raises, so thats still a little odd!
