Hello, I thought I would share my latest upgrade as the information here will be invaluable if you are considering fitting an RS6 exhaust to your C5 allroad, either 2.5tdi or 2.7 bi-turbo.

I had been planning an exhaust upgrade for my car for quite some time but didn't want to fork out £700+ for a Jetex or other new performance stainless system, and I had read of a few people who had fitted the RS6 2.5 inch stainless systems to their 2.7 bi-turbos. I eventually got a hold of a used RS6 exhaust and went about fitting it to my car. I am happy to report that fitting is incredibly simple and the only things that have to be done are to cut the RS6 tailpipes off (they are too wide and also in the wrong position to fit the allroad bumper) purchase 2 x exhaust reducers (to fit 65mm OD (RS6 pipe) to 50mm OD (allroad downpipe) x 125mm length), exhaust clamps and 2 new tailpipes of your choice.

The sizes of the RS6 exhaust are 65mm outside diameter, the tailpipe is also 65mm OD but it trumpets out much wider. When I cut the tailpipes off the RS6 exhaust I did it 50mm aft of the back boxes which gives a nice amount of material to slide a new tailpipe over (or inside).

The pics below show the RS6 exhaust with all the sizes measured by calliper or tape measure, then the same fitted with the new reducers. The only thing missing from the pictures are the ones of the tailpipes fitted, as these have not arrived yet. For the record I went for a pair of 90mm (3.5 inch) inwardly rolled slash cut tips that are of the bolt on variety. I added a picture of that to the bottom. I will probably bolt them place then tack weld them on to the back boxes.

Hope this is help to people in the future as I was unable to find any of this info for definite anywhere I searched before taking this job on.

Oh, and just to add that the exhaust sounds nice, very quiet at idle and with a nice V6 rasp when flooring it. There is a bit of a drone at around 1500rpm but totally bearable. Also, the RS6 exhaust sits only slightly lower at the back boxes than the standard allroad one so I doubt there would be any issue there unless you were doing serious off-roading.
